Natural Face Mask To Get Rid of Dry And Rough Skin

Dry skin problem is inevitable, especially in winters. No matter, how expensive moisturisers you use, you still can’t get over the problem of dry skin, sometimes. Dry skin in winters is normal, but people suffer from this problem due to many other reasons too. Therefore, instead of relying on those chemical-based cosmetics, it’s better to try these home made facial masks which works wonderfully on dry face and really work in order to treat the dry skin.

9. Natural Face Mask To Get Rid of Dry And Rough Skin

1. Milk Cream And Turmeric Powder

Milk cream is an excellent natural moisturizing agent for dry skin. Massage fresh cream on your face and neck for radiant looking skin. Milk cream is full of Vitamin D and healthy fats that repair collagen  tissue and make skin smooth and supple. Milk cream can be mixed with turmeric powder to make skin smoother and lighter in tone. Turmeric powder is effective in healing skin irritation and itchiness associated with dry skin.

2. Milk And Almond Mask

Milk is the ultimate natural moisturizer loaded with antioxidants, vitamin B, protein and minerals such as calcium, potassium, magnesium and selenium.  It is also a great natural source of Biotin that helps in healing dry and cracked skin. The nutrients in milk rejuvenates the damaged skin cells, restores moisture to skin to prevent dryness and peeling of skin. Potassium present in milk soothes the itchiness of dry skin and hydrates it. Almond is a rich source of vitamin E, antioxidants and proteins that are the basic requirements for maintaining healthy and well-nourished skin. It is also an effective anti-aging agent that prevents the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and age spots.

Soak the almonds in water for 1-2 hours so that they turn soft, now ground it into a thick paste and add the milk to it, mix well and apply on clean face, massage gently in soft circular motions for 2 minutes, let it stay for 20-30 minutes and wash off with water. Repeat it 2-3 times per week to make skin soft, supple and healthy.

3. Chocolate Mask

Give your skin a chocolaty texture by applying a chocolate mask. You need to make a mixture of 5 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons of mashed avocado and about 4 tablespoons of honey. Apply this mixture on your face and body in order to have a soft and glowing skin as it will also help to reduce marks and blemishes from the skin.

4. Yogurt And Honey

Yogurt and honey is a good combination for dry skin. Honey is a good conditioner and it not only nourishes skin but also keeps it hydrated. So mix yogurt and honey into 1:1 ratio and apply it on your face and neck. Use it everyday and within a few days get a healthy and radiant skin.

5. Banana And Yogurt

Banana and yogurt are nature’s gift to those who are exhausted looking after their skin by spending almost half of their income buying all kinds of cosmetic products. The mixture not only moisturizes the skin, but also exfoliates dead cells. A face pack is prepared using mashed bananas with yogurt to form a paste. Apply this paste on the dry patches for half an hour and then rinse off with warm water.

6. Papaya  Mask

Dry skin often feels itchy and rough because it lacks moisture. This  is one reason why people who have dry skin can see lines and wrinkles more visibly on their face. In order to get back its suppleness and also to boost collagen production, make a natural face pack using papaya. It has vitamin A and C which help in nourishing your skin.

You can even opt for slightly overripe papaya chunks. Take 3-4 pieces and then mash them well to make a puree. Now add a few drops of honey and a teaspoon of raw milk in it. Mix them well. Now apply this rich pack on your face and neck. Let it stay for at least 15 minutes and then wash with water. It will nourish your skin and leave it feeling soft and supple. To lock in the moisture, apply a moisturiser with SPF in it.

7. Aloe Vera And Cucumber 

Aloe vera is extremely beneficial for skin . The gel helps in hydrating and nourishing dry skin and improving the skin’s capacity to retain moisture. It prevents itching and infection and rejuvenates cracked skin. Cucumber is 95% water that helps in maintaining skin moisture and hydrates dry skin to make it soft, smooth and supple.

Cut an aloe vera leaf and scrap out the gel from it and keep aside. Grate some cucumber and mix it with the aloe vera gel, apply on face and other dried areas, let it stay for 30 minutes and wash off with water. Repeat it 3-4 times per week to get flawless and well-hydrat skin.

8. Mango Mask

Take a fully ripe mango and mash it. Now, mix a teaspoon of mashed mango with a teaspoon of sugar. Use this mixture to exfoliate your  kin as a pre-mask. Now, take the rest of the mashed mango and mix it with 3 teaspoons of argan oil. Apply it on your face and leave it for about 20 minutes. Then, rinse it off. Mango is soothing for the skin while it also softens it.

9. Avocado Mask

Avocado is also widely used in skin moisturizing products. Add drops of olive oil or almond oil to avocado paste. Now this is optional, but if you have cocoa butter or honey you can add it to this paste. Apply this moisturizing mask to face for 20 minutes and then wash it with cold water.
