13. Home Remedies For Fair And Glowing Skin

12. Home Remedies For Fair And Glowing Skin

1. Lemon

Lemon is the best natural remedy for skin lightening. It helps to reduce the blemishes and dark spots. Rub fresh lemon juice over the darkened skin and leave it for 10 minutes. Wash off with cool water. Remember not to expose yourself to the sun, while doing this treatment. There is no way that you look for skin lightening tips and not find lemon on the list. You should be careful as lemon can cause irritation on the wounds and cuts.

2. Lemon and  Honey 

Lemon and honey makes a good combination which helps you lighten your skin. Mix lemon and honey in equal quantities and apply it on your skin. Leave it for 20 minutes. Then wash it off. If you have a dry skin, you can try a combination of honey with cucumber juice. Mix them in equal proportion. You can apply it to any part of your body i.e. face, hands, legs, etc. Apply it for 15 minutes and then wash it.

You can also use a milk and honey pack. Mix these in equal quantities and apply. After applying keep it for some time. Then massage the paste in a circular motion. Wash off with cold water. If you have oily skin use low fat or else use full cream milk

3. Banana and Honey

We all know that both banana and honey are excellent natural moisturisers. Mash half a banana and add 1tbsp of honey to it. Mix it well and apply on a wet face and neck. Keep it for a minimum of 15 minutes and then wash off. Pat your face dry and go for a facial steaming. Massage a moisturiser onto your skin and find the difference. Banana will make your face a flawless piece of beauty.

4. Yogurt & Honey

Take 2 tablespoon of yogurt and 1 tablespoon of honey. Mix it well and apply it on your skin. Leave it for 15 minutes. After that, wash off with normal water. Yogurt will moisturise the skin and honey will help in clearing the skin texture and make it fairer. You can use this face pack on the daily basis.

Else, take 1 tablespoon of honey and add 2 tablespoon of milk (raw and un-boiled) in it along with 1 tablespoon of gram flour. Mix them together and apply on your face. This facemask will make your skin look fair, instantly.

5. Sandalwood And Gram Flour

Sandalwood mixed with gram flour and water is also a wonderful face pack for lighter skin. Use three teaspoons of gram flour with two spoons of sandalwood powder and either plain water or rose water. Apply on face for about half an hour, or until it dries up and then wash off. You might need a moisturiser after this pack. Gram flour and sandalwood combined remove a good deal of suntan and add to your skin’s glow.

6. Jasmine Flower

Pluck some fresh flowers of jasmine and crush them. Add 2 tablespoons of yogurt and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Mix them well and apply the pack on your face. Leave it for 15 minutes and then, rinse off with cold water. This pack will lighten up the skin colour, as well as provide your face a new shine.

7. Rose water

Rose water promises you a fair skin in very less time. You can purchase already available rose petals or simply peel off rose petals and allow them to soak in water for a day. Now apply this water on face regularly. If possible, whenever you wash your face, you can wash with rose water. Remember not to apply soap when you wash your face with rose water. There are many cases wherein people used rose water and got not just fair complexion but close to pink complexion.

8. Tomato

Tomato contains lycopene, which helps to reduce tan instantly. A perfect choice for the home remedies for skin lightening. This face pack will lighten the skin tone, reduce tan and eliminate the dead cells on the face. In a blender, add 1-2 tomatoes and 2 teaspoons of lemon juice. You can also add gram flour (besan) into it. Blend well to make a smooth paste. Apply this all over the face and keep for 20 minutes. Wash off with cool water and repeat this procedure daily before bath.

9. Almond and Milk

Take 3-4 almonds and soak them in some milk. At night mash these almonds in the milk you used to soak almonds. You can add some more milk to make a fine paste. Apply to the face and neck. Leave for whole night. In the morning wash face with cold water. This is one of the best and tested natural tip to get fair and glowing skin naturally. Regular application will give you excellent result within few days.

10. Raw milk  

Dip a cotton ball in raw milk and apply it on your face with this cotton pad. Allow it to dry for 10 minutes. Afterwards, rinse the face with fresh water.
Raw milk makes the skin fairer and softer within minutes. Using raw milk in daily beauty routine provides clean and fresh skin.

11. Oatmeal 

Oatmeal helps you to remove the dirt which goes into the skin pores. Soap usually fails to remove this dirt. Mix oatmeal with a little turmeric and few drops of lemon. Quantity of turmeric powder should be very less. Now, make a thick paste of it. Apply it to your skin and leave it for a few minutes so that it gets a little dry. Take off the mask by washing it with lukewarm water.

12. Fruit

Fruits can work wonders for your skin and also provide you with naturally glowing skin. Prepare a fruit pack by combining the pulp of an avocado, papaya and cucumber. Then add 2 teaspoons of cream or malai. Mix well to form a paste and apply all over the face. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water. People with oily or combination skin can avoid adding cream, they can add multani mitti instead into the pack.

13. Papaya

 Just rub ripe papaya on your face for few minutes and let it dry completely . 15 minutes later, wash off with cold water to experience a refreshing glow on your face within short span of time.  Papaya is rich in papain, an enzyme which lends amazing luster to your  skin.
