Natural Remedies To Remove Blackheads From Face



Blackheads, also known as open comedones are tiny, dark spots that appear on the surface of your skin. Blackheads are blocked pores (hair follicles) in the skin that are filled with skin debris or keratin and sebum, an oily substance. Blackheads occur mainly on the face and nose and are a common problem among adolescents especially those with oily skin. Blackheads can be called first stage acne, before bacteria enters the clogged pores.

There are many prescription medicines for the treatment of blackheads, but you can always try natural treatments. With simple ingredients easily found in most kitchens, you can treat your blackheads within a few days.

10. Natural Remedies To Remove Blackheads From Face

1. Almond Oil  


Wash your face with hot water, to open up the pores. Then pour some almond oil on a cloth. Gently rub some tooth paste (not the gel kind) on the cloth you soaked in the oil. Gently rub the toothpaste on the affected area with the oily cloth. Do it twice if you have a lot of blackheads. Keep it for some time and then wash it off, pat dry.

2. Baking Soda


Baking soda is one of those magical substances in life that is great for myriad purposes. Besides being a natural cleanser, the fine grain of the powder clears away dead skin cells. Use baking soda and a bit of water to create a paste, and then gently scrub in a circular motion over the entire surface of your face. If you have particularly bad blackheads, dab a thick coating of the paste to the affected area and allow it to dry for 5-10 minutes before rinsing off.

3. Create a Clay And Apple Cider Vinegar

There are many different kinds of cosmetic clay available to purchase in a powdered form, each with the specialized property of drying out oily pores and removing unwanted residue. Mix a tablespoon of powdered clay with enough apple cider vinegar to make a paste, and spread it over your face. Leave it for 10-15 minutes until it is dry to the touch, and then rinse off with warm water.

4. Egg White 


Egg whites help to tighten pores and pull out any clogged dirt giving you smooth, clear skin. Remove the yolks from two eggs and smear it into a thin layer over your face. Give it two minutes to dry, and then add the remaining whites in a second layer. Give the complete mask an additional 10-15 minutes to dry, or until the whites are smooth to the touch and your skin feels tight. Use warm water to rinse the whites off your face.

5. Egg and Honey  


You can create an effective blackhead removal paste by mixing the whites of the raw egg and honey. You will apply this all over the face, concentrating on the area of the nose where the blackheads are visible. Leave the paste for thirty minutes or until your face feels tight. Rinse the paste very well using warm water. This treatment will remove your blackheads. Also, your face will be clear, and glowing after you have done this natural treatment.

6. Honey and Cinnamon


Honey is a natural antibiotic and works to pull out dirt from your open pores. Mix a tablespoon of honey with ½ a teaspoon of cinnamon and use your fingers to dab it onto your dry skin. Rub it in a circular motion for three minutes and then wash off with warm water.

7. Lemon


Lemon is another natural ingredient that is effective in treating blackheads. Squeeze few drops of lemon juice in a bowl, add salt and stir the mixture well. Wash your face with warm water and apply the mixture on the blackheads. Leave for some 20 minutes and wash your face again with warm water.

8. Green Tea  


Green tea is great to drink, and also great for refreshing your skin. Packed full of nutrients, a green tea scrub works to remove dirt while supplying your face with healthy antioxidants. Mix a fine green tea mix with a bit of water and rub over your face. If you want, you can leave it to set for 2-3 minutes after your scrub, and then simply rinse off with warm water.

9. Oatmeal, Yogurt, Lemon Juice and Olive oil

A mixture of oatmeal and yogurt is good for the skin and helps banish blackheads. Mix 2 tablespoons of oatmeal with 3 tablespoons of yogurt, add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and olive oil to it, mix all these ingredients well till it forms a paste. Apply the mixture on the face, leave for 10-15 minutes and wash your face with cold water.

10. Tomatoes  


The antiseptic properties in the tomato are effective in de-clogging your pores and to get rid of blackheads. Mash the tomato and use its juice and peel as a facial treatment. You have to concentrate on areas (Nose & Face) where the blackheads are found. If possible, let it stay overnight on your face. This tomato treatment will dry up blackheads. This will make blackheads naturally fall off from the surface of the skin.
